Dr. Eleonora Widzyk-Capehart, BSc Degree in Electrification and Automation of Mines from University of Science and Technology, AGH in Cracow, Poland; MSc in Mining Engineering from the Mackay School of Mines, University of Nevada-Reno, USA; a PhD in Mining Engineering from Michigan Technological University, USA and a Master´s in Human Factors from the Queensland University in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Currently, an Associate Researcher at the Advanced Mining Technology Center, AMTC, at the University of Chile in Santiago.

Over 20 years in mining related R&D, having been associated with the Western Australian School of Mines, Curtin University, the University of Queensland - CRC Mining Centre and CSIRO in Australia prior to joining University of Chile, which is ranked 8th in the QS World University Ranking.

Dr. Asieh Hekmat, graduated with merit from Amir-Kabir University of Technology in Tehran, Iran, with a PhD in Mining Engineering in 2011. During her PhD,conducted extensive research in the area of reserve estimation and mine planning. Untill 2014, she was a Lecturer at the same university. From 2014, commenced as postdoc at the University of Chile and then obtained a position of Researcher at the Advanced Mining Technology Centre (AMTC), University of Chile. Since 2016 she is Assistant Professor at the University of Concepcion, Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering Department.
