Prof. Ferdo Bašić is Professor Emeritus and world experts on Soils. Prof Bašić has been working at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Zagreb (Croatia) since 1984 and is specialized in soil protection and monitoring, as well as water erosion and land management. He has also been involved in many other works, like the National Report on Food Security in 1996, has been president of the Croatian Society of Soil Science in 1986, 1987, 1988 and 1993 and Deputy dean for scientific affairs at the faculty of Agriculture of the University of Zagreb from 1993 until 1997.
