He is among the first Certified Risk Management Professionals (FERMA), and is the chairman of the Scientific Education Committee of PRIMO and FERMA. Pierpaolo Marano is a Professor at the University of Latvia and an Associate Professor at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart. He serves as a member of the Insurance and Reinsurance Stakeholders Group at the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA).
