Kathleen M. Nadeau, PhD, is professor of anthropology at California State University, San Bernardino. She authored Liberation Theology in the Philippines: Faith in a Revolution (Praeger Press) and The History of the Philippines (Greenwood Press). Nadeau co-authored with Sangita Rayamajhi, Women’s Roles in Asia (Greenwood Press). Her co-edited collections, with Jonathan Lee, Encyclopedia of Asian American Folklore and Folklife (ABC-Clio) and Asian American Identities and Practices: Folkloric Expressions in Everyday Life (Lexington Press); and with Jeremy Murray, Pop Culture in Asia and Oceania (ABC-Clio).
Emma Porio, PhD, is professor of sociology at the Ateneo de Manila University and Science Research Fellow at the Manila Observatory, both located in the Quezon City campus. She authored the following selected books: The Filipino Family, Community and Nation: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow (Institute of Philippine Culture, Quezon City), Partnership with the Poor: Local Resource Management Approach to Development (Pasig City: National Economic Development Authority Press), Urban Governance and Poverty Alleviation in Southeast Asia (Center for Social Policy, Ateneo de Manila University).
