Dr. S. A. Hussain is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics, Tripura University. His major fields of interest are Thin film and Nanoscience: Organo-clay hybrid, FRET, Biosensor, Biomimetic Surfaces, Langmuir films, Molecular aggregates, Organic switching devices.. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow of K.U. Leuven, Belgium (2007-08). He was the recipient of the Jagdish Chandra Bose Award in 2008-2009, TSCST, Govt. of Tripura; Young Scientist Research Award by DAE & DST Govt of India. He has undertaken several research projects and guided several PhD students. He is an Editorial Board Member of several journals including: Applied Clay Science (Elsevier), Helyon (Elsevier) and also five other journals.
