This book highlights the developments in the design of knit spacer fabrics, and their applications. Warp knit spacer fabrics have gained prominence over weft knit counterparts in terms of applications, due to the versatility of their structures. Theoretical analysis of spacer fabric under spherical ball compression is highlighted and has been shown to agree with the experimental results. The book discusses how the validated model can be used to predict the spherical compression behaviors of knitted spacer fabrics, compressed with different radii of the spherical balls.

1. Stab resistance of warp knitted spacer fabrics
2. Spherical compression properties of knitted spacer fabrics
3. Protective properties of warp knitted spacer fabrics under impact in hemispherical form
4. Warp knitted fabrics for cushioning applications
5. Impact compressive behavior of warp knit spacer fabrics for protective applications
6. Impact and compression after impact properties of warp knitted spacer fabrics
7. Compressive behavior of warp knit spacer fabrics for cushioning applications
8. Modeling of spacer yarn arrangement for warp knit spacer fabrics
9. Sound absorption behavior of knitted spacer fabrics
10. Application of warp knit spacer fabrics in car seats
11. Porosity and capillarity of weft knitted spacer fabrics
12. Warp knitted spacer fabrics in shoe insole applications
13. Computer aided design of warp knitted jacquard spacer fabrics
