The past 15 years has seen the inroduction of a whole new era of arthroscopic surgery of the smaller joints. Most of the arthroscopic instruments used to perform minically invasive surgery of the elbow have been developed in the past 5-7 years. It is difficult to learn because of the smaller space and the danger of injuring nerves, but the recovery time is greatly enhanced and the patients are demanding it. Shawn O'Driscoll is THE leader in the field. He has more experience than any else in the field and in his course at Mayo teaches the teachers. The book will cover the basics, indications and contraindications, techniques, anatomy, basic procedures and advanced procedures and complications and how to avoid them and how to deal with them if they occur.
