Professor Anne-Maree Farrell is Chair of Medical Jurisprudence and Director of the Mason Institute at the University of Edinburgh, which focuses on ethics and law at the interface between health, medicine and the life sciences at a national and global scale. She is actively engaged as an expert adviser on law and ethics issues in health and medicine and is a member of the British Medical Association's Medical Ethics Committee. She previously worked as a lawyer in private legal practice, specialising in mass torts and clinical negligence. Dr Edward S. Dove is Reader in Health Law and Regulation and Deputy Director of the Mason Institute at the University of Edinburgh. He is the UK National Contact for the European Association of Health Law (EAHL), the UK representative for the European Network of Research Ethics Committees (EUREC), and co-Editor-in-Chief of the open access journal Research Ethics.
