This atlas provides sequential pictures for most existing reconstructive urology procedures. Though the use of technology is described, the book has been constructed in such a way that urologists from all countries will be able to pickup the technical tips to perform the laparoscopic procedures using simplified devices.

Scope and future of laparoscopic reconstructive urology.- technical advances in the instrumentation for entry.- retroperitoneoscopy.- hemostatic devices.- robotic laparoscopic pyeloplasty.- viz-duplex system.- ureterocalicostomy.- laparoscopic heminephrectomy.- renal cysts.- large renal pelvic stone.- partial nephrectomy.- retrocaval ureter and ureteric stricture.- ureteric reimplantation.- transvesical reimplantation for vur.- boari flap ureteric reimplantation.- impacted ureteric stones.- laparoscopic ureterolysis.- laparoscopic cystorraphy.- bladder diverticulum surgery.- urinary fistulae.- excision of the pathology and reconstruction of the bladder.- surgical methods to increase the capacity of the bladder.- radical prostatectomy – a step by step.- the role of robotic surgery in radical prostatectomy.- excision of seminal vesical cyst by laparoscopic technique.- laparoscopic undescended testis.- ileal ureter.- ileal conduit.- orthotopic neobladder.- augmented cystoplasty.- hand-assisted laparoscopic partial nephrectomy.- laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy for vault prolapse.- simplified training methodology.

Dr Manickam Ramalingam is Consultant Urologist at K.G.Hospital & Post Graduate Institute, and G.Kuppusamy Naidu Memorial Hospital, Coimbatore, India. He has already published a book, Update in Urology for Family Physicians and is a well-known nationally and internationall in laparoscopic urology. He is an eminent urologist who has always been interested in education and training in laparoscopic urology through his various presentations and publications. He has published articles in the Journal of Endourology, International Paediatric Endosurgery Group. His main areas of interest are Endo-Urology, Laparoscopic Urology, Pediatric Urology, and Renal Transplantation (550 Renal Transplants to date).

Dr Vipul Patel serves at the Medical Director at the Global Robotics Institute, 410 Celebration Place, Suite 200, Celebration, FL 34747, USA. He has personally performed the most robotic prostatectomies in the world, and is one of only two surgeons to have performed 2,000 robotic procedures. He has utilized his skill and knowledge in this field to train and educate surgeons world wide.
