Divided into 68 sections, the first chapters provide an overview of cancer and oncology, discussing geographic variations, imaging, markers, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, diagnosis and surgical treatment.

The following sections cover the diagnosis and treatment of numerous different types of cancer encountered in all anatomical regions of the body.  The final chapters examine pain management, and palliative care and quality of life in advanced cancer.
