This book discusses the issues associated with extensions of the Standard Model related to the neutrino and electroweak-symmetry-breaking sectors, with special emphasis on supersymmetry. After a basic discussion on the theory of neutrino mass and the minimal supersymmetric model, a discussion is given on the realisation of supersymmetry with R-parity violation and the associated phenomenology, including the study of single supersymmetric particle production, R-parity-violating decays and the physics of invisibly decaying Higgs bosons, characteristic of models with spontaneous R-parity violation. The book also describes the potential of future experiments for probing these theories in particle physics experiments. A brief discussion is also given on the cosmological and astrophysical implications and possible ways to probe this physics at nonaccelerator installations.
