He is the author of What Is Stronger than a Lion? Leonine Image and Metaphor in the Hebrew Bible and the Ancient Near East and over 100 articles, essays, and reviews. He is also editor or coeditor of eight other volumes, with two more in production (The Bible and the Pursuit of Happiness and The World Around the Old Testament).
